If you’re tried and loney

   I’ll come to you

If you need someone you can talk to

   I’ll be there for you

    If your friends desert you

I’ll be by your side

  If you need a place to go

My door is open wide

               If you’re feeling cold

       I’ll build a fire                                         

             If you feeli ng sad and low

        I’ll take you higher

The Drought

වැහි වළාවන්                                හැංගිලා

පරිසරයමයම ගිනි මැලයක්             වෙලා

මද පවනත්                                   හැංගිලා

ගින්දර  මෙ පළාතම හොරකමි        කරලා

 

ගස් වැල් දුක්                                 වෙලා

අතන මෙතන ගොලු                     වෙලා

දුවිල්ලත් වැහි                             වැහැලා

ගින්දර  මෙ පළාතම හොරකමි      කරලා

ගංගා වල වතුර                          හැංගිලා

මුඵ ගමම මළ ගෙයක්                  වෙලා

මහා පොළවම                           ඉරිතලා

ගින්දර  මෙ පළාතම හොරකමි     කරලා

       The Caterpillar

        

                                                                      One a chubby caterpillar

                                                       Sat upon a left

                         Singing eat, eat and be merry
                                              Life is brief

            

                      Soon he lost his appetite

And change its merry tune

  He started spinning and hid him self

                                          Inside a hard cocoon

And he was still and quiet there

                Day after day went by

                At last it cracked and emerged

                A gorgeous butterfly

He spread his brown and crimson wings

And warmed them in the sun

And sang “Now must see the world

My life has just begun”
